黒鳥操術
Episode 17
On the surface, this is one of the least impressive innate techniques for a grade 1 sorcerer. Mei Mei controls crows. They fly around, gather information, and occasionally mob targets in groups. Individually, a crow with cursed energy is about as dangerous as it sounds, not very. But the technique's power scale is deceptive. The crows provide unmatched battlefield awareness across wide areas. Mei Mei sees through their eyes, hears through their ears, and can coordinate their movements with precision that makes them function as a living sensor network. And underneath all that utility, the technique hides its real weapon: Bird Strike, which converts a single disposable crow into what might be the most powerful per-unit attack in jujutsu.
Technique
Bird Strike
神風
Mei Mei's entire fighting style revolves around the gap between what her technique seems to be and what it can actually do. Controlling crows sounds unremarkable, they're weak, small, and individually useless in a fight. But Bird Strike weaponizes a single crow by overloading it with cursed energy far beyond what its body can handle, then launching it as a living missile. The crow dies on impact. The target usually does too. Mei Mei herself calls it the real reason her technique matters. Everything else: the surveillance, the flock control, is preamble. Bird Strike is the punchline.
