Supernova

超新星

Chōshinsei

Supernova

Description

Choso fires blood projectiles from his body in every direction simultaneously. Not forward, not in a cone, outward from his entire body in a sphere. The result is an attack with no blind spot: above, below, behind, every angle covered by high-velocity blood projectiles converging on the target.

The multi-directional nature makes Supernova Choso's answer to opponents who are too fast or too tricky to hit with conventional directional attacks. You can dodge a projectile that comes from one direction. You can't dodge projectiles that come from all of them.

That reveal was a turning point: it exposed a hidden technique that other fighters could now plan around.

Choso also used Supernova against Yuji in their underground station fight, where the enclosed space amplified the technique's effectiveness. There's nowhere to dodge in a subway corridor when blood comes from every direction.
