Background
One of nine Death Painting Wombs, half-human, half-cursed spirit hybrids created over 150 years ago. Choso is the eldest brother and the most powerful, wielding Blood Manipulation with a level of control that surpasses the Kamo clan sorcerers who originated the technique.
Choso's defining characteristic is his devotion to his brothers. He initially fought Yuji to avenge Eso and

Known techniques
Technique
Blood Edge
血刃
Choso shapes his own blood into a blade extending from his arm, essentially giving himself a permanent, retractable melee weapon that can't be disarmed. The hardened blood holds a cutting edge comparable to steel and can be reshaped mid-combat, making it adaptable to different fighting distances and angles. For a technique user whose primary tools are all ranged, blood projectiles, Supernova, Piercing Blood, having a reliable close-quarters option completely changes the matchup calculus. Opponents who rush Choso expecting a ranged specialist find themselves eating sword cuts.
Technique
Blood Meteorite
血星磊
Blood compressed to the density of stone, then launched at high speed. The projectiles hit significantly harder than normal blood manipulation attacks, each one carries the impact of a thrown rock rather than a splashed liquid. Choso can fire them rapidly and in sequence, maintaining pressure that keeps opponents on the back foot.
Technique
Convergence
百斂
The loading screen before the kill shot. Convergence compresses blood into a single, impossibly dense point: a tiny sphere that contains enough concentrated force to punch through almost anything once released. It's the required setup step for Piercing Blood, the most dangerous attack in the Blood Manipulation arsenal. The compression requires sustained focus. The blood has to be held in that dense state through continuous cursed energy pressure, which means there's a visible window between starting Convergence and firing Piercing Blood. Opponents who recognize the setup have a narrow chance to interrupt or dodge before the shot releases.
Technique
Piercing Blood
穿血
The kill shot of Blood Manipulation. After compressing blood to extreme density through Convergence, the user fires it as a beam that moves faster than almost any sorcerer can react to. The compressed blood maintains penetrating force over distance, punching through defenses that would stop conventional attacks. The two-step process, Convergence then Piercing Blood, is both the technique's strength and weakness. The setup is visually obvious to anyone who knows what to look for, creating a narrow window where opponents can dodge before the shot fires. But if it fires and you haven't already moved, you're probably not moving again.
Technique
Slicing Exorcism
苅祓
Crescent-shaped arcs of hardened blood that fly toward targets as cutting projectiles. It's the middle ground of Blood Manipulation's ranged arsenal, more immediately available than the Convergence-to-Piercing Blood combo, more damaging than simple blood splashes. Multiple arcs can be fired in quick succession for sustained pressure.
Technique
Supernova
超新星
Choso fires blood projectiles from his body in every direction simultaneously. Not forward, not in a cone, outward from his entire body in a sphere. The result is an attack with no blind spot: above, below, behind, every angle covered by high-velocity blood projectiles converging on the target. The multi-directional nature makes Supernova Choso's answer to opponents who are too fast or too tricky to hit with conventional directional attacks. You can dodge a projectile that comes from one direction. You can't dodge projectiles that come from all of them.
