Ino's technique is unusual because it doesn't produce anything visible to opponents. There are no shikigami, no projectiles, no obvious tells, just a sorcerer who pulls a mask down and suddenly fights on a completely different level. The ability channels four mythological beasts through his own body, each granting a different combat enhancement. The catch: his face must stay hidden. The moment the mask comes off, everything shuts down.

This condition makes the technique a fascinating risk-reward trade. Ino gains access to a versatile four-mode combat system, but a single well-timed grab at his face can leave him powerless. It rewards aggressive, front-foot fighting where the opponent never gets close enough to reach the mask.

Nanami rated this technique highly. He believed Ino had the raw ability to climb to semi-grade 1 anytime he wanted. That endorsement carries weight coming from someone as measured and unsentimental as Nanami.

Reiki enhances close-range combat, coating Ino's extremities in cursed energy that increases striking power and provides a distincti... for hand-to-hand fighting. The combination let him control distance effectively against most opponents. But during Shibuya, he ran into a problem no amount of versatility could solve: Ogami's grandson, reshaped into Toji Fushiguro'sToji FushiguroHumanThe Sorcerer Killer. Born into the Zenin clan with a Heavenly Restriction that traded every drop of cursed energy for a perfected physical body. Toji couldn't see curses, couldn't ... body. Toji's raw physical ability was so overwhelming that Ino was disarmed, literally, before he could reach his third beast, RyuRyuThe third and apparently strongest of Ino's auspicious beasts. Its abilities were never revealed, Ino's mask was torn off before he could activate it, shutting down Auspicious Beas.... The mask was torn away, and Ino was left fighting a superhuman without any cursed technique at all.
