Description
Megumi's domain turns the entire battlefield into shadow. Liquid darkness floods the ground, coats every surface, and plunges the area into his territory. Within this space, his Ten Shadows technique operates without its usual constraints, instead of summoning one or two shikigami at a time, he can generate an army of shadow constructs simultaneously from any point in the domain.
The shadow pool itself is dangerous terrain. Opponents lose solid footing as surfaces become semi-liquid darkness that Megumi can move through freely. Attacks can come from below, behind, from the walls, anywhere shadow exists, which is everywhere.
The domain represents what Ten Shadows looks like without limits: not a sorcerer carefully managing a small roster of summons, but an environment where everything is a potential weapon.
Usage in combat
Megumi's first expansion was incomplete: a desperate last-ditch effort against a Finger Bearer that was about to kill him. Even in that broken state, the domain generated enough shadow constructs to mount an offense that bought him survival.
The refined version appeared against
Reggie StarReggie StarHumanAn incarnated ancient sorcerer in the Culling Game whose technique, Contractual Re-Creation, let him summon any object he'd purchased using its receipt. Cars, knives, buildings: th... in the Culling Game. Reggie had spent the fight analyzing Ten Shadows and developing counters for each shikigami. The domain rendered all that preparation useless. It wasn't about individual summons anymore, it was about an environment that swallowed Reggie's summoned objects into liquid shadow, spawned attackers from every direction, and mixed Max Elephant's water with the shadow pool to create a drowning hazard.
Reggie's final move was dropping a building on Megumi. The shadow absorbed it. When your domain literally eats the battlefield, physical attacks stop meaning much.
