Idle Death Gamble

Description

Hakari's domain is a pachinko machine. Literally. The environment becomes a gambling parlor, and Hakari has to hit the jackpot on the machine to gain his power-up. When the jackpot hits, and it hits more often than probability should allow. Hakari receives unlimited cursed energy and automatic reverse cursed technique for exactly four minutes and eleven seconds.

During that window, Hakari is functionally immortal. His body regenerates from any wound instantly. Cut off his arm. It grows back. Stab him through the chest: the hole closes. The healing is automatic and continuous, requiring no conscious effort. He can take lethal damage every second for four minutes straight and walk out smiling.

Consecutive jackpots extend the immortality window, and the domain's mechanics subtly favor Hakari's luck, making repeat hits more likely than pure chance would suggest.

Usage in combat

Against Charles BernardCharles BernardHumanA Culling Game participant wielding G-Warstaff: a staff that granted limited precognition during combat. Yuta copied his technique and used the foresight abilities to predict Sukun..., Hakari's first jackpot turned a competitive fight into a foregone conclusion. You can't beat someone who can't die. Charles's precognition let him see every attack coming, but what do you do when hitting your opponent doesn't matter because they regenerate faster than you can damage them?

The Kashimo fight was where Idle Death Gamble became legendary. Hajime KashimoHajime KashimoHumanThe strongest sorcerer of the Edo period, who made a binding vow to be incarnated in the modern era for one purpose: to fight Sukuna. Kashimo's innate technique, Mythical Beast Amb...: the strongest sorcerer of the Edo period, a man who waited centuries for a worthy opponent, threw everything he had at Hakari. Lightning strikes. Lethal voltage. Attacks that should have killed several times over. Hakari hit multiple consecutive jackpots and regenerated through all of it, grinning through injuries that would have killed any other sorcerer.

The fight boiled down to the most absurd endurance test in the series: can Kashimo kill Hakari faster than Hakari can regenerate? The answer was no. Not even close. Hakari survived being electrocuted, dismembered, and impaled, healing from each wound within seconds while his unlimited cursed energy kept him fighting at full capacity.
