Description
Kirara's technique applies star geometry to people. Five targets get assigned to points on a five-pointed star, and the rules of star-drawing govern who can approach whom. Non-adjacent points on the star experience powerful repulsion: the closer you try to get, the harder you're pushed away. Adjacent points can approach freely.
The repulsion scales with proximity, creating an invisible force field that gets stronger the more you push against it. Breaking through by force is theoretically possible but practically exhausting. The smart play is figuring out which point you've been assigned and navigating the adjacency rules to find an allowed path.
It turns combat into a geometry puzzle. Brute force is the wrong answer.
Usage in combat
Megumi encountered Love Rendezvous when trying to recruit Hakari for the Culling Game. Kirara's technique prevented him from approaching, and every attempt to push through the repulsion drained his energy. Megumi had to stop fighting and start thinking, mapping out the star pattern, determining his assigned point, and finding the path through adjacent points that would let him reach Kirara.
The technique perfectly embodies a different philosophy of jujutsu. While most combat techniques reward power or speed, Love Rendezvous rewards intelligence and pattern recognition. The strongest sorcerer in the world would still need to solve the puzzle.
