Domain Expansion

Time Cell Moon Palace

時胞月宮殿

Jihō Gekkyūden

Time Cell Moon Palace

Description

Naoya's domain manipulates time perception within its boundaries. The lunar environment distorts how targets experience the passage of time, making their reactions lag behind reality. For Naoya, whose entire fighting style was built on speed: the temporal advantage turns an already fast fighter into something approaching untouchable.

Naoya developed this domain after dying and being reborn as a vengeful cursed spirit. His grudge against Maki fueled an evolution that gave him capabilities he never had as a human sorcerer.

Usage in combat

The domain represented Naoya's post-death escalation: a man who defined himself by speed gaining the ability to slow everyone else down. It made him a significantly more dangerous opponent than the already-formidable sorcerer he'd been in life.

The irony is that Naoya's obsession with superiority: the same ego that drove his evolution into a cursed spirit, was the thing Maki had already proven hollow by defeating him as a human. The domain made him faster. It didn't make him right.
